Although the final act seems to leave something to be desired, Hunting Season benefits from likeable characters and realistic dialogue which should make most in the audience invested in what happens in this simple crime thriller.

great flick, good vs evil and you can guess how it turns out. the girls are pretty and the story is solid. mel is in top form and ready to do what needs to be done. watch this, you'll be glad you did.

Gibson as the great white savior is a well trodden trope he does well. And the build up was good. But the paunch, the butts and the pathetic gunfight at the end was only outdone by the new woke trope of the young famale Rambo cleaning up his mess. Production value: awesome. Originality: sad. Potential: Pretty good, but in the end it delivers a yawn and felt like it came off an assembly line.

This movie isn’t perfect, but I like Mel Gibson, and if he is in an ok flick, I’ll check it out. I really enjoyed this movie. It’s worth a watch for sure.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a fully lead Mel Gibson film like this. Talk about nostalgia….This film was started with a slower burn for me than most movies today that are so formulaic. This took its time, sucked me in and was fun, entertaining, and well executed. Even had some good laughs. All of the actors were well cast and fit their roles. But let’s be real, I was here for Mel and he did not disappoint! He may be older now, but man this guy still has the charm on screen. If you’re a Mel fan like me and want a fun drama/thriller with some action to watch…this is a good one!

I loved Mel Gibson movies, ever since he was an Aussie. Sad that he has to choose this sort of film rather than making big Hollywood blockbusters, over some sad religious thing...never mind.
