Audience Member Two teenage girls accidentally reach a murderer after a series of prank calls. A pretty weak plot with some pretty bad acting and a soundtrack that sounds almost totally misplaced. There is very little to like in this outdated horror flick. You get to see everybody's favorite nerd (Lewis from Revenge of the Nerds) play a pyro maniacal murderer (interesting thing I learned, I never knew Lewis from Revenge of the Nerds was a member of the famous Carradine family). The Cons: It's a bit slow; plays like a made for tv movie, which I believe it was back in 1988. The heroine, Kim played by Shawnee Smith, and villain, Adrian Lancer played by Robert Carradine, have very little screen time together, maybe three minutes or so. That wasn't enough to build tension. The showdown at the end was done well, though, bringing the suspense level up a notch. But that last phone call? Really cheesy.
