Steven Russell (Jim Carrey) becomes a cop, gets married and starts a family, but after a terrible car accident, he vows to be true to himself. Ele troca o exagero pela sutileza, entregando um personagem carismático, manipulador e também vulnerável. Em poucas palavras: uma atuação mais séria, sensível e surpreendentemente controlada, longe da comédia física habitual dele.

rotten tomatoes apparently is now having the decade old "something went wrong" issue when leaving a star rating, which confirms my suspicions that this was not due to the content of the reviews in the first place. this site is awful, and getting worse especially due to the new popups we get every single time we open it. i love you phillip morris is an excellent and hilarious film, and i give it a solid 85%. on this website, it gets 2/5 until someone decides to stop putting more holes in this leaky bucket.

Very entertaining! I knew nothing about this movie, never heard of it, accidentally found a clip from it with Jim Carrey and it was enough for me to add it to my watchlist. Frankly this movie has everything that makes a great watch for me, I laughed and almost cried and went through all sorts of emotions. What I really love about this movie is that it’s not trying too hard to be perfect or great, it’s very well written and rounded. In the comedy/crime department it’s a success for me!

The script is so well done that I will definitely watch this again some time in the future. The acting is great, especialy Carrey. Very funny one liners & most of the scenes made me laugh, too. I am not a rom com fan but this film is very good.

This is a cute and odd film that is weird but interesting from start to finish. Jim Carrey and Ewan McGreggor both flex their acting muscles for the betterment of this entertaining film.
