michael g Oct 28 From the very bottom of the Netflix barrel, this movie is boring, with a dull and fragmented script made worse by endlessly repetitive camera work and forgettable dialogue that make you want to set your alarm clock for a long snooze. Nothing is shot on Ibiza, and nothing even looks remotely like the island, so it’s no surprise that the talentless director has never even been there. There’s a night-time high shot of a sprawling illuminated city when the characters move to the island, which makes it clear that the film makers haven’t even looked at pictures of their setting, or if they have they’re even stupider still. One wonders if this misbegotten movie was even made by professionals. It would never have been distributed in the Hollywood studio days, even by independents, but the streaming industry will pick up the worst junk as long as it’s cheap. The soundtrack is fun, energetic and exciting. The characters are all hilarious and lovable. You can see bits of Will Ferrell peaking through at various times, which I love as a huge fan of his comedy. I would love to see a part 2 with the entire cast! Booking my trip to Spain asap!
