Scrat's continuous pursuit of an infernal acorn has world-changing consequences for Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo) and Diego (Denis Leary) when the continents split apart. This movie is overly criticized without a valid reason. The thing is, most top critics are probably likely over the age of 20 years old. If you watched this film as a kid, there’s an 80% chance you absolutely LOOVVED it. The original Ice Age movies are great, but just because this one takes a different direction doesn’t mean its quality should be overlooked. It stands as a genuinely good movie on its own, yet its uniqueness is the very reason most people perceive it negatively, If everyone were to be more honest (setting originality traits aside), it likely would’ve earned an 87%. i bet if they had simply included the baby and the humans, they wouldn’t even need to do or say anything. Just their presence alone would’ve instantly bumped the ratings up by 3–4 stars, and its sad. 8.7/10 movie at least.
