      Critics Consensus

Ice Age: Continental Drift 3D has moments of charm and witty slapstick, but it often seems content to recycle ideas from the previous films.

Aidan M My least favorite of the series. I would watch it again but not as much as the rest. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review NextAmirChannel Obviously not as good as the first three, but still good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Dino G Ice Age: Continental Drift is a delightful family film with humor, a good score, and good animation. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Aiden M Another awesome Ice Age movie, I love the pirates including the captain. But a mammoth father being overprotective to his daughter is very disappointing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Winter B they land be movin around Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/24/23 Full Review Luke H They copied Ice Age 2 and made it better, and I'm glad they did as in my opinion this is the best Ice Age movie. It's the first proper appearence of fan- favourite character Peaches and introduces her as an anxst teen with attitude but underneath, is loving towards her family, which is a personallity I enjoy watching. The villain is comedic and threatening. He attacks the protaganists throughout the adventure and the breaks mean that viewers are on the edge of their seat wondering when and where he's going to appear next. The heartfelt, dramatic finale really gives of cool vibes and there are many unforgetable scenes. I could spend half an hour ranting about how good this movie is and probably will do on Youtube. Incredible. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Leonard Maltin indieWire ...everything I liked about the original movie has been worn down. Aug 3, 2012 Full Review Leonard Maltin leonardmaltin.com Never mind that the freshness of the original Ice Age and its main characters Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), and Sid (John Leguizamo) has dissipated. How many series could sustain themselves at all through a fourth iteration? Rated: 2.1/2 Jul 13, 2012 Full Review Christopher Orr The Atlantic Yes, this is the part where I outsource my critical role to my children. If you are the kind of person who (quite understandably) abhors this particular gimmick, you may wish to stop reading now. Jul 13, 2012 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review Unless you've got little kids you need to entertain for an hour-and-a-half, don't waste any time on [this]. Rated: F Sep 18, 2021 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Ice Age: Continental Drift isn't much more than a paint-by-numbers animated feature with a positive, pro-family message. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 11, 2020 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News Just sort of sits on the screen, going through the motions for 90 minutes or so. It's neither good nor bad and, unless you are under the age of 8, you'll likely forget it by the time you get home. Apr 11, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
