The accomplished filmmaker and her able cast still manage to provide rewards in the delicacy with which they sketch the way a woman in a marriage neither happy nor unhappy drifts into an affair, and persists despite clear indications of extreme danger. 01/18/2013 An homage to Chabrol's "Le Boucher". Poelvoorde and Carré are both excellent. See more 02/26/2012 I was surprised that this drama is very good. See more 02/24/2011 Riveting film noir thriller about a confused mother who falls for a serial killer. Sort of subject that Claude Chabrol used to make movies about but this far better. Bit annoyed with the woman though. How can anyone be so stupid? Guess it's a chick's thing. Interesting the director is female. Maybe she knows things us guys don't.
