Alec B Garland gets a few fantastic numbers that make it watchable but mostly this movie saps the charm, wit, and most importantly the stakes out of "The Shop Around the Corner". Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review S R Although it's not as good as the original Shop Around the Corner, it still has some quality and lasting moments. Great cast. Beautiful mise en scene. Some decent music and signing, but some songs were forgettable. I wish Buster would've got a bigger role. Saw it on TCM. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/12/23 Full Review Steve D Too slapstick and the stars have NO chemistry. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite the title, it's a great film to add to your queue of Christmas films. Judy is as charming as ever.
