In 1984, a family throws a birthday party for twins Cory and Jessie. 30 years later, what's left of the family reunites for the father's funeral, at two isolated houses in the New Forest, England, historically a hotbed of witchcraft. There, horrific truths are slowly uncovered about the family's occult pact with an ancient evil that has secretly been at the core of their wealth and power, as the remaining siblings uncover the true bloody darkness behind their inheritance.

Pseudo-schlock of the Sharknado type is of course available in abundance, but those films are trying to be so bad they’re good, which Inherit the Witch doesn’t seem to be.

With a blackly comical tone, actor-filmmaker Cradeaux Alexander gleefully springs jump scares and grisly discoveries on the audience. It's more of a bonkers horror treat than genuinely frightening, which definitely isn't a bad thing.

The worst movie I've ever seen. I am a movie lover. I am 55. I almost stopped watching,5 times plus. Wish I had. It was painful and a waste of time. The end was not clarified and that just made watching to the end more frustrating. I actually have a headache now. It's weird to say surprised I am mentioning it ,but don't waste your time.

Inherit the Witch is an unfortunate failure for the psychological horror genre. Its attempts at esoteric storytelling fall flat, leaving the narrative muddled and inaccessible rather than mysterious or compelling. Coupled with poorly executed editing choices, the film's pacing and flow are severely compromised, stripping away any suspense or emotional weight the story might have had. Key moments that could have elevated the horror are instead lost in the jarring transitions and uneven structure. While the film may have had some ambition, its lack of coherence and the failure to engage its audience on a psychological level ultimately make it a disappointing entry in the genre.
