What to Know

Critics Consensus

Interceptor might spark a flicker of interest in viewers jonesing for a no-nonsense action thriller, but there's nothing here they haven't seen before.

Audience Says

A few fun fight scenes aren't enough to make up for the cheap-looking Interceptor's predictable, sloppily written story.

Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com A Die Hard clone set inside a top-secret military installation that’s the last line of defense against Russian nuclear aggression, high-octane actioner Interceptor is a waste of time. Rated: 1/4 Jun 11, 2022 Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au Interceptor is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad movie. It’s as dull as watching Eisteddfod while sober and as nuanced as a pantomime populated with ex-Neighbours stars. Rated: 1/5 Jun 6, 2022 Full Review Robert Levin Newsday Please, please do not waste your time. Rated: 0/4 Jun 5, 2022 Full Review Brittany Patrice Witherspoon Pop Culture Reviews The latest Netflix feature may be all kinds of impractical and over-the-top, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that every moment in this 96-minute runtime is downright entertaining. Rated: 3/5 Jul 23, 2024 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies “Interceptor” somehow manages to hold your attention. Lots of it has to do with Pataky who earns our sympathies. Not so much for the terrorist threat her character faces, but for the task she’s given of making a really sub-par script entertaining. Rated: 2/5 Aug 16, 2022 Full Review Cris Kennedy The Canberra Times (Australia) I hope Netflix gives Reilly the kind of budget for his sophomore effort so that he might be able to take the camera out into the wider world. Bryan C I don’t find the criticism that it would be bad. I loved it. Just a simple movie, chewing gum for the mind. Need more like it. Yours truly. Bryan Cahill Beara peninsula, Ireland Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review Beata R Elsa did an amazing job with this one!! Was captivated for every second of it. The fight scenes were incredibly well choreographed, and her muscles are now the only gym motivation i’ll ever need. Loved it!!! Keep ‘em coming. For future reference: never look at the male reviews of a female lead action film. If the lead star of this was Bruce Willis or another one of them bald dudes, the men would be losing it - but, I guess it’s hard to handle watching a woman win against all odds, and with just one arm :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/15/24 Full Review Alan K Ignore the critics - if you want a solid female B action film this is a good one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Henry B what a terrible movie. I really mean it. It is as bad as it gets. All the Americans in the movie are traitors and a girl from Spain saves the American army against Russians (I assumed that is the ending because I stopped watching an hour in the movie and had to rush to the bathroom to throw up). Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/21/24 Full Review Raymond R The description sounded interesting, but in terms of execution this movie was awful. So many elements were unrealistic to the point where it wasn't entertaining. Very disappointed. I think my biggest issue is more with the story. As I said, a lot of it was unrealistic, and certain character reasoning for why X was happening didn't line up. The backstory behind the main character was a typical cliche that obviously was used for the sole purpose of explaining why she was where she was. It was such an overused sub-plot I started getting annoyed whenever it came up. The ending was even more confusing. Granted, I skipped ahead a little cause it was boring, but how it ends leaves you scratching your head as to who the bad guy was. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Gary H Elsa is spectacular in this movie and the action is fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews
