Audience Member Filmed in 2004, Into The Air - A Kiteboarding Adventure is a time capsule glimpse into the origins of the sport of kiteboarding. Director Marq Morrison is one of those fortunate filmamkers who happens to turn on the camera on the right subject at the right time and winds up capturing history being written. Modern kiteboarding legends and gurus like Paul Menta, Damien LeRoy, Laurel Eastman, and others are caught right as the phenomenon of kiteboarding clicks into what is now a globally recognized x-sport. Even non-kiteboarders will find much to like with the enthusiasm and sincere zest for life Into The Air's protagonists bring to their dissertations and displays of passion and sport. As much as anything, Into The Air is a lifestyle piece, inspiring in its own way as Dogtown and Z-Boys or even Endless Summer. For kiteboarding enthusiasts, Into The Air is indispensable. Kudos to filmmaker Morrison for his keen sense of letting the young figures tell their story and their stunts and flights tell the rest, The result is Into The Air - A Kiteboarding Experience has earned a place in history.
