A hugely effective and massively under rated horror. Very well acted, written and directed, especially as a directorial debut. Alien on a farm and it's all the more effective given the down to earth environment. Loved it on its release and having just rewatched this it hasn't aged a day. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

these writers flunked biology. if you are going to make a sci fi, ya gota be somewhat scientifically possible... and this is just not remotely scientific. genetic vs infection process, mammalian body being able to switch to living underwater... too many faux pas. nothing too redeeming about this flick.

Pretty effective comic book style horror noir, with enough of a gripping script that makes the most of a low budget. Caught my interest right from the opening scene, although I would have loved to see certain themes developed further. Better than many other indie horror movies.
