      Critics Consensus

Well-acted and fiendishly frightening with an emotionally affecting story at its core, It amplifies the horror in Stephen King's classic story without losing touch with its heart.

Brandon An amazing Horror movie!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/23 Full Review LEONARDO F I liked the film because I thought It was scary, specially because I'm afraid of clowns. The plot Is good and the characters are great too. The part of the film that most scared me was when Bill's younger brother (George) was pushed by the clown at the sewer when looking for his paper boat. The film Is very scary when you watch alone, but when you're watching with friends It gets very funny. I felt very brave while watching because I'm afraid of clowns and I totally dislike them. I was able to finish the entire movie, watching only by myself. But sometimes the characters are really stupid when the try to beat the clown only using their hands. But It's a great movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Dasha N (IT 1) is a wonderful horror film remake from film-maker Andres Musketti, which was filmed in Port Hope and Toronto, Canada. According to the plot, the clown wakes up every 20 years to feed himself and hibernate again, it was these children who were caught by this time. The younger brother of the main character was eaten by this clown, after which the elder wanted to take revenge on the clown and kill him along with his friends, they constantly saw him when they were alone, he wanted to intimidate them greatly, and then eat them, because he feeds on fears. as a result, everyone found out where the clown usually lives and went there to get rid of him without showing their fear. At the very end, the clown was thrown into a deep well. End. The acting was just incredible. They were really scared, and the clown caused fear, because the grimm was very gripping The special effects were very interesting and unusual, the way a clown bites off a child's hand or flies in a balloon, but the scene when they got to hell and where he danced was very strange, rather funny, it did not fit into the overall plot of the film. And the graphics are at the highest level here. I liked this horror film , the storyline is very interesting, you are constantly sitting in a tense state and waiting for the clown to appear. I advise you to take a look. In addition to the scary moments, there are also moving ones that make you want to cry later, funny moments that convey teenage days. You will remember this movie for a long time, for me there is cant beat ,than this horror movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Lucas S IT e incrível, amo muito esse filme. J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The serious dramatic themes ring hollow, however, leaving only the paperback boogety boogety to justify the Oscar-bait running time. Apr 9, 2020 Full Review Karen Han Slashfilm The film depends - and succeeds - entirely on the strength of their performances, and for two hours that speed by all too quickly, it's not too much of a stretch to feel like we're on summer vacation with them. All these questions, whose answers are familiar to those of us who have read the novel, are ever so slightly approached in the movie. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 4, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
