IT ENDS WITH US, the first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen, tells the story of Lily Bloom, a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston and chase a lifelong dream of opening her own business. The theme serves as a reminder to domestic abuse victims that there is a way out. But it's questionable whether actor/director/producer Justin Baldoni will helm Colleen Hoover's sequel, "It Starts With Us," which his Wayfarer Films has also optioned.

The rooftop scene was awkward and the wardrobe was distracting. I really enjoyed the younger characters’ storylines and acting though. Definitely not a fun rom com movie.

I went into this movie opening day not knowing anything about it. just going to a movie and it for sure hit home for me and my situation. and for I believe a lot of women I mean this is such a domestic violence is an increasingly overlooked situation in the United States. Sadly Blake (& Ryan) tantrum really took away from the meaning. DV a version of being trafficked - abuse by the same vile evil person over and over and over. Sadly women have to get themselves out of it. I feel for the women with children. Every woman's experience is uniquely different and EVERY man is exactly the same...power, control, manipulation, gaslighting, and for some violence. Beautifully broken story. I thought all performances were great, now I can't stand seeing BL & RR faces 👿

My girlfriend dragged me to see this film, and I assumed this was going to be a standard love chick flick... I was thankful to be absolutely wrong. This is a very well written and solid acted film. Trust, love, anger, betrayal, anxiety, etc.. it's got it all. I left feeling the performances and happy I went.
