Elisa C Classic, methodical and patient in mixing different horror origins; there's a lot of Asia and Europe, but we're still in familiar territories with Carpenter's driveways. The sensory paradox of Welcome to Haddonfield and the distortion of the Slasher, makes it if not a masterpiece, an important film in the contemporary Horror context. For those who practice viewing it, it is like having the sensation of the eye of a Michael Myers but without the morbidity of the genre, a more abstract and non-voyeuristic concept. The kids find themselves metaphorically crushed by a catatonic wait, silent hyperbole, "the appearances of Evil" change practice, form and confront the insecurities towards the adult world; when one of these appearances urinates on itself. For this reason, I personally do not exclude a principle of frustration which is then at the base of the fears of kids who approach sex or love or life, in any case it is not the prerogative of the message. The electronic sound is an extradiegetic crossing, a speculation of great atmosphere. It is so intelligent, that it makes you fill your mouth with it without boasting. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review Andrew L Don't fall for the lists and critics claiming this to be one of the best horror's out there. This is pure trash. If you're suffering from insomnia, this is guaranteed to put you to sleep. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review aiden k Wellll… even though I might not enjoy EVERYTHING about this film, it has somewhat of a special place in my heart, for some odd reason. I remember watching this on thanksgiving day one year, so now I just always associate the Holiday of thanksgiving with it follows, which gives me a sense of nostalgia for this film. Yes it sounds stupid I know lol. But anyway, what I love about this film is the vibes it gives off, THAT SWEET SYNTHY SCORE 😫👌, the tall man jumpscare (which I call one of the scariest jumpscares I’ve ever seen), the eeriness of it, etc. …and as for its flaws? Well, at some parts it can get PAINFULLY boring, the characters are flat and forgettable, the ending feels anticlimactic, etc. still, SOLELY just for THAT ONE jumpscare, watch the movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/25 Full Review Audience Member i just wasted 2 hours of my life watching the shitty ass movie Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/25 Full Review noneya b If I had to waste almost 2 hours watching this garbage then so should you Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/25 Full Review Indy D To me personally, this is still an absolute masterpiece and one of my all-time favorite horror movies. they did the greatest job at creating the most eerie vibe along tons of psychological dread and all-round lingering creepiness throughout their film. Loved it all the way and back. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
