After returning home from the war, soldier Danny Miller (Frank Sinatra) heads straight to his old stomping grounds in Brooklyn, N.Y. He's determined to attain success as a singer -- and help his friends reach their own dreams along the way. Danny moves in with old chum Nick Lombardi (Jimmy Durante) and falls head-over-heels in love with schoolteacher Anne Fielding (Kathryn Grayson). The story is solid, the musical numbers are grand, and Jimmy Durante and Frank Sinatra are amazing together. It's not the most masterful of musicals, but it's great great fun, and any fan of Frankie will enjoy it.
