Johnny Oleksinski New York Post A welcome dose of shock therapy. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 16, 2024 Full Review John Nugent Empire Magazine An ingenious, wildly stylish new take on the body-swap movie, this deserves to be a Gen-Z cult classic.  Rated: 4/5 Oct 8, 2024 Full Review Peyton Robinson RogerEbert.com “It’s What’s Inside” is a fun jaunt through the dynamics of a friend group and the interiorities of its members, even as it sanitizes its potential. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 5, 2024 Full Review Dan Buffa Ramble On With Buffa (Substack) Best of all, Jardin’s film has a personality, a makeup all its own that includes title cards and a mix of tunes that keep us on our toes and enthused. These days, it’s a lot to ask a film you’re watching to have its own personality. Dec 29, 2024 Full Review Matt Pais MattPais.com A bunch of fun to experience in a giddy daze or perhaps with pen and paper in hand, mapping shifting identities and how current motivations are driven by past feelings and lingering curiosities. Ido K I enjoyed this one when I watched it last year so I wanted to watch it again. It’s a smart script, with great acting. Best to see it without knowing anything about it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Celia S Amazing movie. The actors were so convincing at playing each other that I genuinely believed "yeah, that's the other person in their body." They pull you into the universe and the characters phenomenally. The camera work is fantastic and I love the black and white scenes when they're recapping past events. The set design is awesome. Not to mention, the concept is awesome, I'd love to see more movies utilize this concept. My only and MAJOR problem was the sound design. This movie, for the first half hour, was completely unlistenable. It almost turned me off from it entirely. The mixing is terrible, the actors are barely audible, random sound effects like the car door slamming is deafening, and the background music drowns everything out. Once the movie really got going, it was less of a problem, but it was terrible. I hope the producers of this movie recognize how important sound design is in their future projects. If I wanted to watch a silent film, I would, so please make movies actually listenable in the future. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Kory S The film has an interesting concept and is filmed well but suffers from unlikable characters and flops at the ending making it disappointing and nothing Id rewatch, even without a subscription. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/19/25 Full Review Felipe Carlos M Trully a work of art, anxiously waitin for another dose of this. ABSOLUTE CINEMA Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Khaliel P It felt like a (way too) long and tedious episode of Black Mirror. It would have worked perfectly as a 50-minute episode, but as a feature film, there’s about 50 minutes too many. The story only really starts after the first hour, and everything before that is pointless and painfully boring. The direction is a disaster. The director tried to give it a ‘New Wave’ style by using a 1.66 aspect ratio — a format used only in Europe and only in the 1960s, and abandoned for a reason. The ending is nothing original either; it’s the same old body-swap trope we’ve seen a thousand times. Just barely passable as a film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/08/25 Full Review Daniel O An EXTREMELY original take on the body swap trope. This has cult classic potential. The plot is original and engaging. The execution and cinematography are exactly what's needed. The acting is solid, but was lacking JUST A BIT to make this an easy 5 stars. I'd recommend this to anyone who is in the mood for a "body swap" movie with a few dark twists. Might even be something I re-watch in the future.
