Audience Member This is a perfect example of "squeezing the lemon dry". We enjoyed the first and second seasons (especially the first) and then the "stück" became monotonous. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I usually really like Jack Whitehall AND his father. The dynamic works because Jack is so high energy and is clearly interested in his Father's approval and attention and his Dad is game enough to try. Yes they play it up but at the heart of it, it has been a sweet adventure. This Christmas special, however, was revolting. It was filled with set-up unnatural stories and jokes and basically a neverending barrage of attacks on the Father. I have no idea why and it was so mean-spirited it left the viewer feeling lkeep you walked in on a family brawl. His Dad took it with class but honestly he should have walked out. It was awful, and not even the "I got to see how bad this is" type of awful. A slow simmering painful experience. I dont know if I'll ever watch anything with Jack again. I had truly enjoyed him before but it wasn't a joke or two, it was a full show built to tear down his Dad. Having lost my father recently, Jack is unknowingly lucky to still have his Dad and to do something like this? Shame on Jack and shame on Netflix for airing it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Very disappointing. The opening monologue was amateurish at best. The only saving grace was the dad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Felt forced and constructed, kept fast forwarding just to get through it. Not funny at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Michael Whitehall was the very scarce comic relief to a generally un-worthwhile watch. The charisma of the travelling show does not translate at all, and this feels much more like a Jack Whitehall ego trip. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed Michael Whitehall's humor, laugh out loud hilarious! Jack Whitehall, not so much. He came across as an entitled, whiny and bratty child afraid to be embarrassed by his parents in front of the neighborhood "cool" kids. Maybe I'm not "woke" enough for his weak complaining that he passes off as comedy. Waiting to hear what his father would say, and the looks he would give his passive aggressive, snide and wimpy son was the only reason I continued to watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
