Bilge Ebiri New York Magazine/Vulture The film feels like an uncomfortable hodgepodge of styles and tones - gritty and realistic when it's following Ryan, awkwardly staged when it's following Jackie. Jul 4, 2015 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com If a film based on author Nicholas Sparks' work is like an over-produced power ballad with a 128-piece orchestra, writer/director Ami Canaan Mann's "Jackie & Ryan" is the non-ironic acoustic guitar cover of the same tune. Rated: 2/4 Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times "Jackie & Ryan" may prove too low-key and deliberately paced for less patient viewers, but distinct pleasures are to be had from this compactly shot film's easy rhythms, affecting tone and nicely modulated performances. Jul 2, 2015 Full Review Shikhar Verma High on Films [Jackie & Ryan] is about a pair of struggling people trying hard to make everything alright. Rated: 3/5 May 3, 2020 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue There's a familiar tune to this modest low-budget romance about musicians who fall in love, yet it's given a fresh spin by a set of charming performances and a screenplay that generally sidesteps cliches. Jul 10, 2015 Full Review Sandie Angulo Chen Common Sense Media Sweet if unexciting love story about two musicians. Rated: 3/5 Jul 10, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Cynthia P The music, the story line, so perfectly crafted. One of my favorites movies. The chemistry and acting is so good and underrated. Southbound is one of my favorite songs. This is for the calm mature loves, the ones that don’t need big drama or blow out fights to have respect and love. I love the concept of letting your partner be free and trusting them with honoring themselves and honoring you. For the different loves that challenge mainstream love. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Jerod S Yikes. This little musical strummer was slow as molasses and Heigel won't ever pass for a musician. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Audience Member The film is lovely, sweet, heart-warming...the kind of film you want to watch when you want to get those fuzzy feelings. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member It may not be the most exciting film but itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s easy to watch and some of the landscapes are stunning. I also thoroughly enjoyed the music. Itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s one of my easy rewatch go-toï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s now Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Wake me up when the movie is over Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/18 Full Review Audience Member The songs aren't catchy or good enough to say that this movie worth for its songs and the story isn't appealing or innovative to captivate the spectator during all of its runtime, but it has good performers and the story counts with some twists, but not as much as it should had been.
