Audience Member The problem with this movie is that there is no story. Its about five childhood friends and wushu practitioners, who grow up and then fight in a tournament. They must stop a kidnapping ring, when their old classmate kidnaps kids. But that isn't the story. Its merely a subplot that allows for one decent fight scene, with Sammo Hung. With him being in the trailer and Jackie Chan presenting this film, you'd think this film has some legitimacy. But it doesn't. The kidnapping thing should have been more developed, but I'm guessing budget issues kept that from happening. Wushu is a disappointing film with only 1 decent fight, so its not worth viewing the whole thing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member good kung fu actioner Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Great wushu movie (with some beautiful faces). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Stunts were ok. Gotta replace those women they were ugly as he'll. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Straightforward, familiar plot that combines sports movie with martial arts action - kids grow up learning wushu from their guardians, have championship coming up, and then get involved rescuing young twins who've been kidnapped by a wrong 'un. It's amiable fluff, the wushu work is impressive to watch, but the the film rather limps along and feels a little too fragmented and lacks the excitement to lift it above the average.
