Audience Member This film made me cry in many scenes. It was just so sad to see the way they live is such misery. Watch this movie and learn the truth about the "Palestine Vs Israel War" and then tell me who the real terrorists are... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie is based on testimonies of Arabs who live in Jenin and have experienced, in what they claim: A Massacre. Set in the ruins of the battle that took place there, a picture of miserable life is painted by Mohammed Bakri, using provocative editing, almost like a holocaust film. As a documentary, the movie fails, as its plot is twisted out of reality, therefore, it is regarded as a personal film and not as a Documentary. As a film, the movie is quite repetitive and boring. Same interviewees repeating on describing their misery, rather than using visuals of some action to demonstrate what happened in Jenin. I would recommend to pass on this film, as it is a waste of time. Watching the world news can help you understand the condition of the Palastinians better than this film. 4 out of 10. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A documentary showing the insiders' perspective on the Jenin massacre. It could be valuable to present the opinion of the Israeli side, just for those who are not familiar with the story. It would add objectivity. A very powerful picture of the life of people of Jenin seen as just one instance, a part of the long history of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely heartbreaking document of the 2002 IDF bombing of the Jenin refugee camp (the so-called "Battle of Jenin" or Jenin massacre) - in which no single building was left standing in a camp of 15,000 residents. Some moments: children explaining that a disabled man comes to the cemetery every day because his disabled friend was killed, the children said he was very sad. An old man who was shot in the hand and foot. One man describing how they were all ordered to strip naked to look for weapons, not for humiliation. One man's political and social commentary held the movie together. A young girl, maybe 8-10 years old, also said some extraordinary things about how IDF soldiers are cowards - she let me know that Palestinian children must be the saddest children on the planet - not because what they suffer day-to-day is absolutely the worst condition of any children at any given time, but because for decades they have been abandoned by much of the world and their hopes for a normal life, for peace and security, are so slim - all they see everywhere are confirmations that hope is as illusory as any dream. It makes perfect sense little boys throw stones at tanks - it's way of declaring their humanity, saying we exist and will continue to exist even if you have tanks paid for by the American empire. A very moving description of merely one massacre of Palestinians by the world's "most moral army." Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A very powerful, courageous and importand film. A must see for anyone who wants a glimpse into the horrors of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Had potential to be significant, but unfortunately the saddest stories end up overshadowed by numerous exaggerations and staged scenes.
