I found it to be the right amount of creepy. Possible and not too over the top. Yes, invite your friend over, yes, don’t clean up after yourself and still sit with your family as they sit in a muddy hole. I also liked how he missed companionship and was reaching out to the mom’s friend who sucked in how she handled the situation…stay with your friend’s kid! Then ending was also realistic and showed an extreme example of unconditional love. What could have stayed out was the mother and daughter. That I felt was unnecessary. This move showed that sometimes your kid is weird but you love them in spite of it. Masterfully delivered.
