In spite of a crackling premise and a star who's always ready for action, Jolt never manages to deliver much more than a mild buzz.

Campolongo C Starts great and you are expecting a fun movie about a female superhero. After 50 minutes or so it's just a C-movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Michael J Kate Beckinsale is hot and carries the movie. The rest is rather not to mention. The plot one dimensional and predictable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Rene A I don't know why the reviews were so poor, when I compare it to the last half dozen movies I watched, I love this so much better. I at least found it extremely entertaining and fun. Frankly I find strong protagonists female Heroes extremely attractive.:-) I consider this a not to miss movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Zane G Just slogged through this one. Terribly predictable. Awful writing, weird out of place sexual jokes. Hella boring, can't believe I made it all the way through. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Chris K I loved it, the humor, Kate, the action... It deserved a big screen... It's fucking dope... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Alain M action comedy with Beckinsale just killing it in this underrated action-flick Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Too bad, Beckinsale deserves better in this one. Rated: 2/4 Aug 2, 2021 Full Review Alexandra Heller-Nicholas ABC Radio (Australia) Like fun, wacky action comedies? Give it a shot. Are you a woman whose hormones have pushed your anger levels into a realm where you feel you can't control them? This film might speak to you - as it did to me - in surprising ways. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 30, 2021 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service "Jolt" isn't prestige cinema, but it is far smarter than its exploitation trappings. Wexler and Beckinsale truly make a meal of the gender flip that is sending a woman to wreak bloody havoc in revenge for the murder of a sweet, nerdy hunk. Rated: 3/4 Jul 28, 2021 Full Review Maxance Vincent InSession Film Jolt didn’t need to fizzle out so quickly as it did. The potential was there, but the execution wasn’t. Oh well. Here’s hoping the potential sequel is better. Rated: C- Mar 6, 2024 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Jolt‘s script requires a new formula. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 9, 2022 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies You can’t really get caught up in plausibility with a movie about a woman running around in an electrified vest shocking herself to keep her anger in check. You just go with it and have a good time. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 17, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
