Lindy is a beautiful, sardonically-funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

"Jolt" isn't prestige cinema, but it is far smarter than its exploitation trappings. Wexler and Beckinsale truly make a meal of the gender flip that is sending a woman to wreak bloody havoc in revenge for the murder of a sweet, nerdy hunk.

The action scenes were nothing short of epic. Kate Beckinsale put some good effort into her role, but the screenplay is the real stake-through-the-heart here; the twists were predictable, with the final twist at the end scraping just below good. However, I liked it never the less. It was funny, action-packed and Miss Beckinsale mimicking fits of rage undergone by sufferers of Intermittent Explosive Disorder were hilarious (if a little brutal). I'm personally hoping for a sequel, given Kate's performance and the final twist (regardless of how many times it's been used) gave hope for the chance of one.

Sayang oras. Masayang makita si Kate Beckinsale na nakawala na sa anino ng mga bampira ng Underworld. Napaka predictable lang na napaka aga mawala sa eksena ni Jai Courtney para maging kontrabida sa huli. Medyo kinulang lang sa action sequence & logic ang istorya.

I'm glad I decided to make it through the interminable exposition at the open just to take a certain level of pride in finishing this The premise is there but Lucy was there was nearly a decade ago. I guess that's why the lead's name is Lindy

I watched this back when this movie came out. I didn't think it was all that bad. Not because I'm obsessed with Kate Beckinsale. But the action was OK and yes the plot was dumb but Kate looked good doing it.
