Lindy is a beautiful, sardonically-funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

"Jolt" isn't prestige cinema, but it is far smarter than its exploitation trappings. Wexler and Beckinsale truly make a meal of the gender flip that is sending a woman to wreak bloody havoc in revenge for the murder of a sweet, nerdy hunk.

Watchable, funny at times, a bit OTT with the action making it unbelievable. Feels a bit like a whole bunch of cut scenes from a video game more than a film. Liked the way it's it's lit but not the vehicle choices... British style fire truck next to a NYPD car...nope!

I enjoyed it, but parts felt dragged out a bit. Certain scenes made me chuckle, genuinely funny, but the plot twist at the end... totally unexpected. It's a great choice as a flick to switch off and watch.

Some good lines, bordering on memorable lines. Good cast, the standouts are Tucci and Beckinsale. Patchy script, when it's tight and witty its good, then the action starts and the script is...errr...perfunctory. Sharp editing, fair direction. An entertaining darkly comic romp - which is what the film makers set out to make!

Out of the norm. If you’re into the making of the movies. The director and producer view of whats is being filmed. You will like this movie. It’s interesting from the opening dialogue (phenomenal) to when she hits the screen. She is gorgeous! If your board with the over done US movies same s..t over and over watch it. Take it for what it is and crazy entertaining RIDE! Husband did not fall asleep 😴 5 ⭐️

It’s so stupid when a movie has a good looking chick beat the crap out of men twice and triple her size. It’s one thing if the movie is like a supernatural element, or fantasy with them using their wit over muscle. Otherwise it’s completely unrealistic to believe a non muscular woman can beat the crap out of every man she sees.
