I liked the energy and the fun of the film, but it is scattered with the storyline and it ruins what could have been a cult gem. As a fan of the Archie line of comics, you are in nerd heaven here, they mention Riverdale and various little comments along the way. I'm actually amazed they threw so much money at this film, which is typical of the Hollywood style of filmmaking. A quiet and indie film would have connected better with the target audience. The end result is mixed and only offering fun for the first half of the movie. I liked it, but I was relaxed on a lot of the story beat flaws that hurt the film in the end. Great casting, but incoherent tone results in a film with no true identity. I wanted to love this and hoped it might be a cult film for the new generation. Sadly no. 13/01/2019.

Josie and the Pussycats is an awful mess of a film. The film is poorly constructed with a bland, boring script, a terrible choice of actors and stupid. The film is a waste of celluloid and it insults the viewers' intelligence. Do yourself a favor and skip this film. I was forced to watch this and it was painful from start to finish. I really hated the film and it was a big waste of time. Tara Reid is a horrible actress that just has no talent to speak. This film is proof that studios will green light anything to make a quick buck. I'm all for a good comedy, but crap like this has no place in the cinematic genre. Watch something else instead; this is not worth your time. With a poor direction and a sloppily written script, Josie and the Pussycats fails to entertain. This is an awful comedy that just doesn't cut it. The dialogue is cringe worthy, the jokes are horrible and fall flat there is no substance here and it's a train wreck of a movie that never should have seen the light of day.

DON'T JUDGE ME!!! It came on tv, and I was bored. The only reasons I'm giving it so many stars: -Tara Reid beat up Carson Daly, LOL. -That boy band, and their subsequent almost destruction by plane crash and near fatal attack by Metallica fans was AWESOME!!! -Both Parker Posey and Missy Pyle were utterly insane in a superrad way, as usual. -HAHA at Alan Cummings the albino!!!

Even though you except nothing but the worst, this film is actually well written with love to spare.
