It’s They Live for the *NSYNC generation. It’s as clear-headed and sure-fired in its very, very exact critiques of how ridiculous product placement and ad over-saturation was getting at that time.

Josie and the Pussycat dolls was on the nose for all of it’s viewpoints on the music industry and aspiring artist that want to make it for a big break. Soon it will be 25 years since this movie released but you’re not missing a lot, even for a chick flick.

★☆☆☆☆ — Painfully Loud Josie and the Pussycats is glitter, noise, and nonsense. The jokes flop, the plot evaporates, and by the end, you’ll wish the movie had nine lives… and used them all.
