Audience Member Good western/war movie will recommend it, James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas July 18, 2023 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Realistic historical drama. Young Harrison Ford and good cast. Done like "Alias Smith and Jones" from that era. Good movie if you are not a critic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Ponderous western starts out well but loses it's way at about the halfway point. Much of the fault lies in the direction since the cast are all able players. James Caan's wig is so obviously fake that it becomes incredibly distracting. Still interesting for the cast including a young Harrison Ford. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Civil war story of youth, honour and innocence with a good supporting cast to Caan and Sarrazin albeit in a routine story. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I came across this the other night. The parallels to the Vietnam war are so obvious here. It's a pretty by-the-numbers western with stock characters and phoney settings. It's hilarious just to see a young Harrison Ford and Jan-Michael Vincent as part of Caan's "soldiers". Frank J. Avella Edge Media Network Shiloh has obvious anti-war parallels, with these misguided, gung-ho boys having no clue why they're fighting, slowly figuring it out, and quickly losing all desire to fight...There are moving moments, especially with Sarrazin near the end.
