Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Julia and Julia tells one of those nightmare stories, like The Trial, where the hero is condemned to live in a world in which absolutely nothing can be counted on. Audience Member A compelling and haunting existential thriller. Kathleen Turner gives an operatic, committed performance as an American woman who starts to travel uncontrollably between two existences after the tragic death of her Italian husband. Beautifully directed in an early form of Sony HD video by the late Peter Del Monte with an eerie electronic score by Maurice Jarre. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Bizarre film about a woman living in two different realities, one with her husband and child and the other where she is a widow after her husband died in a car crash six years earlier. Hampered a bit by cheap Italian tv production values but good leads. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Though the acting is not superb and the flashing to 'reality'/'unreality' kind of confused me, this movie was midly amusing!! Sting was the only person who made this movie sexy and watchable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I absolutely love this movie or at least I did as a teen. It has been impossible to find and I would love to see it again to see if it is still as good as I remembered it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
