Brooks Eisenbise Chicago Reader Refreshingly, Phil Connell’s Jump, Darling breaks from many of the tropes we’ve come to expect from queer storylines. Apr 7, 2022 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Those looking for familiar seriocomic beats in a modest but polished LGBTQ-targeted indie will find this pleasant enough. Aug 15, 2021 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News There's not much new territory explored here but what's surprising is the emotional power of Phil Connell's touching feature. Jun 10, 2021 Full Review Brandon Stanwyck InSession Film It’s a role that requires vulnerability, and Leachman demonstrates a willingness to do what needs to be done to give Margaret the dignity she so deserves. There will never be another Cloris. Rated: B- Jul 15, 2024 Full Review William Stottor Loud and Clear Reviews Simultaneously dazzling and poignant, Jump, Darling is a terrific drama with star turns from Thomas Duplessie and the late Cloris Leachman. Rated: 4/5 Jul 11, 2024 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Gay City News Duplessie’s drag performances are a highlight and his budding romance with Zachary is sweet, but most viewers will appreciate the late Leachman’s delicate and sometimes foulmouthed performance here. Fitz U I don't like drag, but I thought the story was interesting and well plaid.. Especially the grandma was endearing, who remembered me of my mom, who fought against being admitted in an elder home. Thomas Duplessie played his role wonderfully. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Genevieve S Thoughtful, charming and heartbreaking. Excellent performances by Leachman and Duplessie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Though Cloris Leachman is always a treat to watch, the rest of the film is mostly boring. The male lead is so good at playing a meh millennial, that the movie itself becomes very meh. Still Leachman fans might find the movie enjoyable for her character if nothing else. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Very moving and entertaining - amazing performances by both Cloris Leachman and Thomas Duplessie, who is definitely an actor to watch. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Streamed this last night and LOVED it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review mike m Chloris Leachman is fantastic the rest of the movie is good enough I Guess Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
