David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) This is a very contrived rom-com which isn't saved by the generally likable performances. Rated: 3/5 Jun 30, 2010 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald The only comic spark comes from Maurice Benichou. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 30, 2010 Full Review Kate Rodger Newshub (NZ) It's a cool idea, and there were a couple of fresh moments, but unfortunately those moments just don't amount to much as a whole. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 10, 2019 Full Review Marc Fennell Triple J Acut-price, transatlantic version of Amelie that keeps you at clinical distance, when you need to see the world through their eyes. Rated: 2/5 Jul 8, 2010 Full Review Don Groves sbs.com.au Laurent lights up the screen in almost every scene, even when she's being miserable; it's just a pity her character isn't remotely believable. Rated: 3/5 Jul 3, 2010 Full Review Jason Di Rosso MovieTime, ABC Radio National At times you want to whack this pair of self-indulgent, angst-ridden misfits over the back of the head with a plastic carry-cup, but mostly, they're a couple of charmers. Audience Member The most annoying female main character of all times! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't think this film was terrible by any means, but if you take out the actors and put in less-likeable people, it's a pile of crap. But Laurent is memorizing in many of her films, and I thought Bartha did okay. The film also doesn't go on too long, it knows exactly where it belongs and doesn't overstay its welcome. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Serendipity, french-style: driven by a lot of quirkiness and refusal to return other people's rightful belongings. I really thought she would've ended up with the Scot at the end... now That would've been serendipitous. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member contrived but enjoyable. i quite enjoy a few smart lines from Chloe (Laurent). Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member So funny, quirky and beaut to watch. Refreshing..... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather funny quirky comedy that I liked a lot more than the other handful of people who seem have seen it! It's contrived and don't stop to try to make too much sense of it, but it's very enjoyable and is genuinely touching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
