Brian Lowry Variety Justice League: War loses the battle mostly by biting off more story than it can comfortably chew. Feb 3, 2014 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies “Justice League: War” is a fun early entry into the DC Animated Movie Universe and serves as a pretty interesting introduction to a world with lots of potential. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 16, 2022 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Dark animated tale has constant violence, some profanity. Rated: 3/5 Apr 26, 2016 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com Quips are crammed in between the spats and battles (voice cast includes Alan Tudyk, Jason O'Mara, Michelle Monaghan, and Justin Kirk), but there's not much resonance this time around... Mar 17, 2016 Full Review Scott Mendelson Forbes You want a pretty decent idea of how a live-action "Justice League teams up to stop Darkseid from destroying the Earth" adventure will go, here you are. Rated: 5.5/10 Aug 1, 2014 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Lots of fun. DC has upped the ante on this series with War. Rated: 3/4 Feb 6, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Mitch B I love this movie! The epitome of the summer action blockbuster. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Isaac E. Incredibly forgettable as a story, especially compared to Flashpoint Paradox, but it definitely wasn’t boring. It’s like nonstop action and I never felt the pacing (which I probably shouldn’t considering it’s eighty minutes long). Every individual Justice League member gets their moment in the third act, which was mostly epic but also a bit underwhelming. I found there definitely wasn’t enough Darkseid, and I don’t think he felt intimidating or powerful enough (at least yet) here to be a good villain. Speaking of underwhelming, while I each character got their moment later in the movie, I don’t think most of them were fleshed out enough or had enough screen time to make them interesting, and the ones that did just weren’t done justice (no pun intended). Superman and the Flash don’t get enough screen time or attention, and Wonder Woman, Shazam, and Green Lantern each I found had cringe moments and were a bit frustrating overall. The big one that comes to mind is the Wonder Woman ice cream scene. That really only leaves Batman and Cyborg as the two characters whose treatment I felt deserved here. Cyborg, while definitely not as poignant or compelling as his arc in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, still has a very similar arc in this movie which was definitely the most interesting part of the whole story. Batman also gets his due with some pretty awesome scenes that show him as the wits of the team. Another problem I had with this movie was the voice acting. Most of the performances felt stale, and some of them, in particular Batman, felt miscast. The animation wasn’t great too but to be honest neither was Flashpoint Paradox so it didn’t bother me much. I know I might sound harsh on this movie, but I really did like it. I was never bored and I think it served as a decent enough Justice League team up movie that had awesome action scenes and moments. I’m definitely into the DCAMU so far. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Travel M It was fun to watch. But I'm just not a big fan of the Superman in this universe. He doesn't sound and act like a heroic and inspiring Superman. I'm used to seeing a Superman who shows he's not above anyone even if he really is. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Audience Member Best DC animation i ever seen, be sure i've seen it all in all of kind directions, this is best unbiased stuff that there is, sadly DC has like 3-4 cartoon films of this quality and past 2014 it goes only worse and worse, damn you political activists for ruining art. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/25 Full Review Joshua m This was decent enough, and worth a watch if you are a fan. There are many better animated DC Universe films though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Aiden H My intro to the world of dc animated content when I was like 3 or 4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
