Murjani Rawls Draftkings Nation 'Killer Book Club' elects to be more of a carbon copy of things flipped before in every way possible for years. Sep 13, 2023 Full Review Randy Meeks Espinof There is talent in Killer Book Club, but it's completely unfocused and scattered, more concerned with diluting the plagiarism of Scream than in doing something truly original. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 2/5 Sep 7, 2023 Full Review Andy Klein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's by the numbers and there's nothing special about it. Sep 7, 2023 Full Review Matt Donato Bloody Disgusting Just another shallow Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer wannabe that struggles to maintain its own establishing rules, no better nor worse than middle-of-the-pack anonymity. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media This kind of thing has been done often enough since Scream emerged from the hyper-self-aware 1990s, so it's unclear why this movie was made. Rated: 2/5 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review Sarah Musnicky Nightmarish Conjurings KILLER BOOK CLUB does little to encourage its audience to flip over to the next page. Audience Member I liked the movie but I felt like it was just a copy of Scream Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review João Victor u Péssimo, plágio de Pânico. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/04/24 Full Review Satin B Pathetically predictable; not even deserving a ½ star; don't waste your movie time on this ⚠️ Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review Lloyd S A hypocrite movie where the protagonists complain about the horror genre as full of repetitive cliché, and then everything in this movie is copied from other horror movies. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 The emo guy dropping the mask in the library is taken from Scream(or also scary movie). Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/23 Full Review Justin T This is about as derivative of Scream (1996) as possible. It offers nothing new to the concept and rigidly sticks to the self-aware nonsense that has been overdone in the Scream franchise already. It is not scary, it is not gory, the running around isn't exciting and the characters are deliberately stereotypes and lack any depth whatsoever. The production (sound, costume, camerawork etc) is high enough quality and the acting is perfectly serviceable. It really fails on originality and engagement. There is nothing that grabs you and makes you actually want to watch the film or care about what's happening. I put all these failings down to bad writing and to a lesser extent bad direction. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review inta k quite okay, not original but watchable Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
