Audience Member Dark tale about the forgotten Irish who didn't find their fortunes across the water. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The cast is a perfect mix of Irish splendor. They are great! A group of Irish men haunted by the past and memory of their friend Jackie. They reunited in Jackie's wake. A blasts of revelation in behind their friendship. There's a lot of lesson I've learned in this film. You can never bring back what was lost yesterday. Just enjoy the moment now and own it. For friends: No matter how much you think you hate each other, you'll always miss them when you leave. If your looking for something completely different, you must see this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The story was the main character in this one.. although all in irish, yet very touching and tells the tale of a group of friends who took a risk to find a better life, but eventually losing the one that they had.. some made it and some still struggle. but even at tragadies, all come together.. the film discusses the life of a immigrant in a foreign country from the irish perspective but the concept is true for everyone.. you dont have a home here and dont have a home there anymore.. great performances and great visual style.. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Makes a welcome change from the recent spate of centre-right Celtic Tiger idolising "we've never had it so good" nonsense. Unfortunately, for the men of McAlpine's Fusiliers etc, the only roar is one of heartbreak and abject misery. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member An Irish version of a Loach or Cassavetes film that fails to transcend its narrow scope, Kings will appeal to Irish speakers, and to those who lived the emigrant experience of 20 to 40 years ago. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Wicked stuff - 'Paddy the EngLish-Man'!! Best line in an Irish movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
