Krash M This movie never gets off the ground in any fashion. It is a mess. Cary Grant was 52 playing a WWII pilot. The cast had no chemistry. The music score was too loud. The dialogue was abysmal. Looking at Suzy Parker was about the only highlight. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Audience Member Have stingers, they're on me! Sailors who have been on continuous duty for a year and a half get 4 days leave. They just want to drink and party. No one will let them. Cary Grant, Ray Walston and Larry Bleiden are being pressured to support the war effort by making speeches at the defense plant of a corrupt contractor. Widely panned, I've always had a liking for this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review steve d There are a million films like this but Grant makes it one of the better ones. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Tom M I love Cary Grant but this may be the worst movie I've seen him in ... and it's mostly his fault ! He's rude and cranky the entire movie. I think it was suppose to be a comedy but comes off as some anti-war PTSD drama (and it's made 12 years after the war). And Mansfield is suppose to be a great patriot and supporter of the men in uniform because she sleeps with them even when she knows they're married? Suzy Parker is the only bright light in this film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/29/20 Full Review Audience Member Very dated...Some the dialogue is not PC. Grant tell Ms. Parker, at some point, "Don't say much Just be decorative." Ms. Mansfield plays a Monroe type, on steroids... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Goes Nowhere. Disappointing Really, Given Some Very Well Known Faces.
