It is not an enjoyable film. It offers no escapism, no catharsis, no exhale of relief at the end. Just grimness stacked on top of brutal grimness. Go to Full Review

When Colors of Evil: Black is acting like a detective story, it moves from one plot point to the next with a certain solid rhythm. But the more convoluted the plot becomes, the more that rhythm is disrupted. Go to Full Review

...[Colors of Evil: Black] lacks even a trace of the audacity or psychological depth that the creator of The Decalogue and The Double Life of Veronique was known for. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Delle T @thedelletorres 2d Colors of Evil: Black isn’t as gripping or you may surprised, but it has a stronger sense of moral darkness and psychological dread. It’s slow at times, occasionally convoluted, and definitely not an easy watch—but the performances and oppressive atmosphere keep it together. See more Peter F @RT28007450 Aug 16 This is a tough detective story / drama about child abouse and murder. While the story does not exploit the full potential, good dialogue and pacing, and most of all some absolutely sublime acting by almost everyone here elevates this to a very good one. Very refreshing real feel after the tons of American fake in movies. See more Igor S @Igor_Sena Jul 28 A bit predictable but it served its purpose to pass the time. We should get more movies done about this subject, because it is truly one of the biggest issues in the world; we just need better scripts and delivery. See more andrew K @Andrewjp Jul 1 Great film , keeps you engrossed until the end. Gierszal is a great actor. See more Umutoni G @RT01569678 Jun 24 I enjoyed this movie and it feels dark and intense from start to finish. the story is about crime and secret, and it keeps you guessing who is really telling the truth. if you like mystery and crime movies with a dark tone, you might enjoy it. but if you don't like violent or emotional stories, it may be too much. See more LAA A @LAA84 Jun 16 Colors of Evil: Black — Overall 4/10 Story: 1/2 (ordinary, repetitive) Plot: 0.5/2 (predictable, no surprises) Acting: 1/2 (modest, TV‑like) Effects: 0.5/2 (low budget feel) Enjoyment: 1/2 (many dull moments)A crime mystery that promised depth but ended up flat, with weak performances and little suspense.
