Critics Consensus

For those who have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Starman, K-Pax may not hold anything new. The movie works best as a showcase for Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges.

Alain E By coincidence I saw this on July 26 and tomorrow is supposed to be departure day for planet K-PAX. I will not take that flight. The movie starts very impressively but somewhere around the middle it disintegrates. Extra points about the tutorial on banana eating. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Buffalo B Just watched this for the second time (first time was around 20 years ago). It's one of the best acting jobs by Bridges and Spacey. Masterpiece. I was sad to hear years later about Mr. Spacey's difficulties, but that in no way changes the fact that he was beyond excellent as an actor in this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/16/25 Full Review tommy J I love this movie, i've watched it so many times. Kevin Spacey, although surrounded by controversy, is a great actor. Not condoning his controversy but this movie came.out before it. Unreal lyrics enjoy movies where an emotional response is triggered. This does that. I love how strange his character is and how broken he is. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/25 Full Review ARNI S Good movie with a good story line, it's the type of off beat books your english teacher had you read in school, "way back in the 60's". Casting was great Jeff Bridges and Kavin Spacey made it a believable story. Like the ending it tied up any loose ends you could think of. My partner and I will be recommending it to friends and family. It would be kool to see a sequel with Bridges and Spacey doing it 20 plus years later. My thought Prot returning from K-Pax to help Robert come out of his catatonic state... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Ashton M It's cerebral, but I don't think the film does a good job at making me believe that Kevin Spacy's character actually came from space. It is worth a watch, nonetheless, if not just for the sound track alone. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/05/25 Full Review Gary T Love this film,a subtle sci fi film with a touch of humanity thrown in.Kevi spacey was magnificent Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/25 Full Review Read all reviews
