      Critics Consensus

For those who have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Starman, K-Pax may not hold anything new. The movie works best as a showcase for Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges.

Oliver A Ignore the critics. As is so often the case, they wouldn’t know a good movie if one hit them over the head with one. K-PAX is a brilliantly engaging and fascinating film that constantly leaves the audience wondering - is he or is he not? It benefits from repeat viewings and has some absolutely incredible scenes. If you haven’t seen it yet - trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Rob A Kevin Spacey plays a mental patient who claims to be an ET. Jeff Bridges stars as his befuddled psychiatrist who can't find anything wrong with the man. He couldn't possibly be an actual alien, could he?? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/20/23 Full Review Randy S Maybe the best movie I have ever seen! This movie will make you think about the human experience, why we are here and the amazing power of the mind. No violence! No special effects! No cgi! No fluff! Proat is a most beautiful and tragic character and when his past is revealed it will make a grown man cry. This is not a movie for modern day America and their love of Super Hero's, CGI, and one liners! This movie is about acting and plot and charachter developement. I only wish they would have made it a 4 hour epic! BRILLIANT 6 stars. Absoulte must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review dANGER b Fantastic movie, great performances by Jeff and Kevin. Loved it even 20 years later. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Arlene M Why such poor reviews? This is one of my favorite movies and most people I know totally agree. Actors are great. Story great. I will be watching it for the 3rd time very soon. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/10/23 Full Review J W Well acted and an overall solid movie.
