Emilliano Jr S A horror hidden gem. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Kashgar A The usual predictable dumb choices made by all characters including the dog, but overall well acted and snappy enough to make for a good watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review Logan D A college student spends Thanksgiving break alone in her dorm. An online cult targets her. The audience on RT is all wet on this. I and my family enjoyed this tense thriller featuring the wonderful Haley Bennett as an intelligent and athletic heroine. Seek her film "Swallow" if you enjoy excellent acting with a tense and unusual story. And I love that the writer followed the principle of Chekov's Gun. Recommended Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie didn't hold my attention. I was mildly interested in watching the main character, but I also felt like I didn't get enough of a feel for her character to find her change to be super empowering to watch. The bad guys weren't frightening and the plot was an ironed out psychological thriller (they got all the twists out, so to speak). The last line of the movie honestly ruined anything I liked about it, though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Although, I did not like the fact that, once again, the poor dog dies, I did like this movie. I liked the strong female lead and the bad guys creeped me out sufficiently. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It definitely is not as bad as its reviews say. It's just a very standard slasher flick. Some jump scares in the first half and some really good violence toward the end but nothing new. I did love the tree sequence though. That I haven't seen. It got a little tedious at times, especially the obnoxious whistling cliche but ultimately it's the perfect way for a horror movie fan to spend their time during quarantine. Anton Bitel Sight & Sound This follow-up to Blackburn's Donkey Punch is beautifully shot, and sets its mostly familiar stalk-and-dash material within the context of contemporary online anomie and a broader debate about chance versus causality. Nov 4, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
