72% 148 Reviews Tomatometer 87% 1,000+ Verified Ratings Audience Score After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to... give it a rest already. More specifically, he's tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Even worse, there's been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little eyes on Po's Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm. So, Po’s going to need some help. He finds it (kinda?) in the form of crafty, quick-witted thief Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a corsac fox who really gets under Po’s fur but whose skills will prove invaluable. In their quest to protect the Valley of Peace from Chameleon’s reptilian claws, this comedic odd-couple duo will have to work together. In the process, Po will discover that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places. Read More Read Less Now in Theaters Now Playing Buy Tickets

Kung Fu Panda 4 is fun for the whole family -- maybe not as much fun as the first three, but still a good time.

Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) If the script was sharper or funnier and if the gags were better maybe you wouldn't notice, but it does feel like a lot of it is a bunch of people in recording booths doing some schtick and them animating around it. Apr 2, 2024 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) The plot may be cursory — Po has to graduate to spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace and find a successor for his job as dragon warrior — but Black attacks it with knockabout zeal. Rated: 4/5 Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times Caveats and niggles ultimately don’t dent the magnanimous-natured enjoyment. A lesser Kung Fu Panda movie remains vastly superior to most mainstream animated features. Rated: 3/4 Mar 29, 2024 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) This latest bout of Panda-monium feels directly akin to the third film in the franchise, a perfectly enjoyable (if probably inessential) romp with Jack Black voicing a kung fu-fighting panda. Apr 16, 2024 Full Review Mark Williams Radio Times Filled with visuals jokes and tongue-in-cheek one-liners, this is as colorful as it is satisfying. Rated: 3/5 Apr 12, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider Kung Fu Panda 4 is thoroughly acceptable. Apr 10, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
