ashley h Lady for a Night is a decent film. It is about Jenny Blake who throws over her gambler beau Jack Morgan in order to marry into high society. Joan Blondell and John Wayne give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Leigh Jason did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member somewhat boring, John Wayne manages to make it bearable by being his usual awesome self, and the stereotyped black servants are pretty funny, all in all, pretty bland Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member good drama and blondell shines Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A waste of John Wayne's talent, but it probably needed a poor melodramatic storyline like this one to realise he looks out of his depth. The final sequences are also unintentionally funny and need a complete re-write. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Outstanding movie John Wayne is my family favorite actor Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
