Dave V I only have one question the film didn't answer. Why!!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Avindu G It's a pretty simple conclusion and there were so many hints along the way. The dialogues felt unnatural as if it was forced. Maybe due to this rawness in dialogues the bond between Troy and Jake seemed impossible to have been preserved away from the world for such a lengthy period of time. Great scenery of nature. Snowy mountains and lonely woods can justify the secret existence yet it's not realistic considering the civilization so much nearby. Great acting by the cast carefully treating the characters and putting up a balanced performance. Sincere acting by Drew and Stephen makes this watch interesting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/12/23 Full Review Rich G Not terrible.. the son is to good looking with perfect hair to have lived in the wilderness his whole life. Would have been mad if I paid for it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Kevo B Critics have it wrong here on this one. First off, not a SciFi, it isn't, period. Story has been told better in the past. Alicia puts in a good effort with a crumby script. The writing/script is a bit sophomoric and plays like a romance novel at times. The character of Jake isn't believable as related to his his fathers influence, his personal development and his relationship with the Silverstone character. The direction is rudimentary and relies on long shots of the beautiful surroundings to move the story along. These shortcomings are so obvious I am not sure how critics have rated it so high? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review Bruce S Smart movie. This flick should get you thinking about the fabric of civil society. What keeps it together as well as the forces that can unravel it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/22 Full Review Night O It is a film that has stayed with me. Yes, the shooting location and landscape are gorgeous, the acting so nuanced, the soundtrack compelling. The storyline and themes of the movie are evocative of these times and thought provoking. It left open questions about how people spiral into deep convictions that are unmoored, how others can free themselves from half truths, and how those emotionally wounded can gently reenter society. It's a wonderful film - well worth the time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/08/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Noel Murray Los Angeles Times At its core, this is an earnest movie about how best to endure a crisis: by sharing the load with others, rather than assuming every stranger is an enemy. Feb 3, 2022 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound This story of a father and son surviving off-grid against an outside world of "chaos and marauders" might seem a cabin-bound reimagining of the post-apocalyptic The Road (2009), but Drew Mylrea's feature is more akin to The Village (2004). Dec 7, 2021 Full Review Angie Han Hollywood Reporter It's clearly a film with a lot on its mind, one that's eager to grapple with the gnarled roots of its own appeal. But its reticence keeps it from exploring the more challenging, and possibly more rewarding, paths laid out before it. Nov 1, 2021 Full Review Lee Zumpe Tampa Bay Newspapers Although the execution isn’t perfect, Mylrea gets extra points for the unexpected tonal shift — and how the film’s revelations are gradually brought to light. Overall, the cast manages to salvage “Last Survivors.” Oct 31, 2023 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed ...it allows the cast to shine with characters they can make their own and in images that are well-made. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 11, 2022 Full Review Mark Jackson Epoch Times Maybe the point of this stock survivalist story was to demo how clueless you can be if you grow up in the wilderness. Maybe that's why "Clueless" actress Silverstone was cast. I jest. Silverstone's mature performance is the best thing about the movie. Rated: 2/5 Feb 9, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
