Alejandro C This movie is linked with Tron Legacy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review Giorgio G This flick had popped up on Cable TV a few times, but I had always snubbed it as Christmas movies are normally all alike and once you have seen three, you have seen them all. As I caught 2 minutes in the middle today, I realized that this was not the normal silly XMas rescue or love story, but something completely different and quite marvelous. Thus I finally watched it. And, Wow, was I wrong. Michael Sheen is in his best role ever, naturally the story and the make-up helps, but this ocean of emotions, between arrogance and humility, between family ties and family hatred, between decisions made and decisions regretted is a deep look into every person's soul which will surely touch every viewer in one way or the other. It's a deep character study of humanity itself. Disturbing and charming, moving and intriguing. 7/10 points. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/23 Full Review PAUL W Really enjoyed this film. Sheen is fantastic, as are the other main actors. Thought provoking, funny, entertaining. So well done how he steps through time. I would watch again and recommend to others. Easy watching and worthwhile thanks to Sheen's brilliance. 9/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/29/22 Full Review aj r Beautiful film. Smart idea and it keeps your attention the whole way through. The way they've shot every era looks incredibly authentic and Michael Sheen gives a great performance. One of the better recent Christmas movies. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Alan J Didn't think I would see the day when Martin Sheen could possibly be involved in something so absurdly, miserable and boring! Confusing...no proper end that leaves you thinking how ill I ever get that time back....unless you ride the same train as him....no thanks. Please do not ruin your Christmas and watch this drivel! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/22 Full Review N.M. M Had to watch it twice but well worth it. Totally twist Groundhog Day around A Christmas Carol, remove the ghosts and you have a touching story about one man's attempt to make everything right. Loved it. Leslie Felperin Guardian Sheen is an engaging enough actor to pull it off, gurning and goofing around to keep from being upstaged... Rated: 3/5 Dec 15, 2021 Full Review Deirdre Molumby entertainment.ie If you're looking for those magical, wistful, contemplative and hopeful feelings that, every so often, a really special Christmas movie will provoke, then Last Train to Christmas is well-worth seeking out. Dec 20, 2021 Full Review Sarah Cartland Caution Spoilers An overlong but moving tale. It says something for the writing and performances that the most jarring element of this story is how many spare seats there are in a British Rail train at Christmas. Rated: 3/5 Dec 20, 2021 Full Review Andy Lea Daily Express (UK) While Sheen impresses, the painfully broad turns from his co-stars and the far-from-subtle costume department transport us to an alternate world of wildly inappropriate children's TV. Rated: 2/5 Dec 17, 2021 Full Review Stefan Pape Common Sense Media Last Train to Christmas is not exactly a film to get you into the Christmas spirit as such. But it is weirdly Christmassy -- think A Christmas Carol on wheels. Rated: 3/5 Dec 16, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
