In border country, Cattlemen's Association employee Jimmy Sawyer (Rex Bell) hits the dusty trail in pursuit of a bandit known as the Juarez Kid (Donald Reed). Sawyer has a special investment in the case, though, because he is close friends with the Juarez Kid. The Kid told him years earlier that he would reform. In light of this, Sawyer suspects that somebody is impersonating his friend, running roughshod along the countryside and tarnishing the real Juarez Kid's name.
