Christian K Basically nothing here except for a couple chuckle moments, the story here is an outright disaster. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Aarontube gaming 2 This movie is great , I like how they continued on from the first Legally Blonde . They stayed original , the writer wrote the perfect sequel unlike many movies that make sequels this one was actually enjoyable . I don't understand the bad rating of this movie but it's really underrated; maybe they are part of the cosmetic companies testing on animals haha . But I think this movie is perfect make sure to watch the first one though . Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/21/23 Full Review Audience Member 20 years old and this is a serviceable follow-up to the original 'Legally Blonde' Director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld brings back Reese Witherspoon as attorney Elle Woods This time she's taking on the government system at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. New players include Regina King, Sally Field, Bob Newhart, Dana Ivey, and returning players like Luke Wilson, Jennifer Coolidge, and Alanna Ubach Elle and Emmett are engaged and plan to have their dream wedding Elle puts together the guest list and wants to track down her dog Bruiser's mom but she's kept in an animal testing facility When she asks her firm to intervene she gets fired So Elle decides to take on the system by petitioning to make a bill to overturn the animal testing cosmetics industry through Congress But she'll need help to get several of the politicians to hear her out mainly Representative Victoria Rudd The first movie broke new ground showing a blonde could be taken seriously when it comes to law Here 'Red White & Blonde' attempts to tackle taking on the higher powers for issues worth discussing Acts as a brutal humorous satire of promoting blonde politics Writer Kate Kondell has our heroine champion a cause in which has us to be more involved in politics, and everyone needs to embrace their individuality Sure it acts more like a sitcom but Witherspoon makes the material light, bubbly and engaging doing things the Washington way It also hits subjects like animal rights, people's democracy, inner flair, and having our own voice, do the people believe what the government wants them to believe? We can learn to trust in the system but also turn it around The other challenge is that it's hard to get people to care This sequel falls short of being what the first one accomplished but still might satisfy the fans It's more colorful, goofy, and politically astute Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Nim T Not as great as the first one, but nonetheless did not decrease the essence of the character of Elle Woods. Elle is a character that is not only intelligent, but also confident and caring towards the dog, this being the major highlight of the film. There were less time in the movie that allows Emmett to be a supporting role for Elle. I liked the tension that was shown in the first, where Elle was transitioning to the protagonist by surprise. But in here, it was overall flat with no high and low transitions. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/28/23 Full Review Jace E Let me paint a picture for you: a woman who wears a lot of pink is getting married and wants to invite her tiny dog's parents to her wedding. That is the uninspired and forced plot of Legally Blonde 2. As a fan of the first film, I was disappointed and borderline disgusted by the direction that this film took. Rather than focus on the characters that you love from the first installment, they take the backseat to new, mundane iterations of the same archetype. The plot was frustratingly tedious, the dialogue was empty, and the behavior of each character was cartoonish. Predictable and pointless, Legally Blonde 2 is a film that I hope to never watch again. (Oh, and it also ended with the senseless title cards again) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review cry m Great way to show politics isn't just for the boring and outdated. Good sequel Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

      J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Like the first movie, this has some cute gags but collapses like a soggy paper plate, never deciding whether to mock or celebrate the heroine’s shallow materialism. Jul 2, 2022 Full Review David Ansen Newsweek This time, Elle's improbable triumphs really are implausible--and way unfunny...as adroit and charming as Witherspoon is--and she gives it her all--she cannot rise above the embarrassingly broad, witless material. Mar 13, 2018 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly Rated: B- Sep 7, 2011 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Unfortunately, the sequel is a pale-pastel imitation of the original. Director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld struggles to regain the kooky magic of the original, as the fish-out-of-water scenario wears thin. Rated: 2/5 Jul 19, 2023 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) Reese Witherspoon snaps, crackles and shops when she should as the happy-go-lucky fashion victim Elle, but no amount of weapons-grade pep can get this second-hand outfit off the rack. Rated: 2/5 Sep 11, 2020 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens It's fluffy. It's fun. It's pink. It's got cute shoes, cute clothes, a cute star and a very very cute dog. Arf!
