"The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special" reunites Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose and the droids for a joyous feast on Life Day. Rey sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. In all, the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is a joyful, albeit short return to the Star Wars sequel era, and the entire saga, through a sweet story, hilarious writing, and an excellent Yoda in a bowler cap and sweater.

This is not a film to be taken seriously, and anyone who does should seriously question why they are expecting a LEGO movie to salvage their love or hate for the sequel trilogy. It is most impressive and most humorous if you allow yourself to enjoy it.

Ready Steady Cut

We are treated to all that Lego goodness that picks up right after Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker and that incorporates themes of that notorious Lucas payday with a sci-fi twist on a classic holiday trope — and it works.
