Hot. Young. Cool. Fresh. Ripped. Hilarious. Groundbreaking. Avant-garde. These are just some of the words that comedian and writer Leo Reich uses to describe himself. In his first HBO comedy special, this self-diagnosed important young mind faces the swirling uncertainty of our collective future, asking the big questions, such as: "Is this helping?", "Am I hot?", and "No offense guys but literally what is going on?" Treading the line between hilarious stand-up and humorless performance art, LEO REICH: LITERALLY WHO CARES?! blends songs, anecdotes, and anxious non-sequiturs in a valiant attempt to raise awareness about important social and political causes... or something.

Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) 01/18/2024
He has no idea what authenticity really is, but as a writer and then performer Reich is more than clever. His punchlines pull the audience into his orbit, letting him set up an unexpected finale. Go to Full Review

An impressively self-aware — and blessedly not finger-wagging — comedy special about Gen Z. Go to Full Review

Soul P 01/18/2024 I thoroughly enjoyed this performance. Leo has a special way of phrasing that often surprises which adds to the already hilarious content. I laughed out loud quite a few times. The musical numbers and the few times he casually drops in deeply insightful observations about society make the show even more rich and fun. Great job, Leo! PS - I very rarely write a review but some of the other reviews were so off base I had to write. Congrats! See more MARIUS S 01/16/2024 Simply not funny...... See more Ed 12/22/2023 Just saw this randomly and had to watch it when I read the description and saw some queer representation! It does a good job of entertaining while also containing uplifting messages. For example, "We choose our own reality so why not choose to live in a more optimistic, a more hopeful reality" (47:40). Another example, "[the pandemic should've happened in] the olden days, when people were used to disease and had the emotional toolbox to deal with it." It also touches on themes of the commoditization of self on social media and how it's hard to be young now growing up. Leo does a good job of transitioning and connecting all the narratives together. Something mentioned at the beginning came back around to the end and I was like, "Woa!" Overall, it has good messages, but can sometimes get lost as they are quickly brushed off with a joke or it can be hard to tell what's satire and what's sincere.
