Alain (Serge Riaboukine) is a middle-aged café owner who, despite living in the midst of a crime-ridden and drug-fueled Parisian street, has managed to keep his nose clean -- until, that is, the young, beautiful but dangerous Marie (Marina Golovine) bursts into his life and begs for his help tracking down the men who murdered her brother Antoine (Mathieu Demy).
