Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy The stand-out, and easily the best reason to see this "Les misrables"... is obviously Jean Gabin. Rated: 7/10 May 7, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Peut-être la plus fidèle adaptation cinéma. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member My favourite version so far! Gabin, Blier and Bourvil in their best roles Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the truest to the book and most accurate adaptions I have seen. Much of the dialogue and narration directly from the book. The acting is mediocre but watchable, even if the dubbing is terrible. There are some minor changes to the story, but this adaption includes many scenes (esp. regarding the barricade) that typically get cut from film. Well worth the 4 hr running time for a fan of the brick (er, book). Others may find it slow-paced and dull. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
