Audience Member Beautifully filmed, acted and written. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member 1936 vienna yap?m? siyah-beyaz film.. genc bir alman subay? ve operada ?ark? söylemey cal??an genc bir k?z?n a?k?n? annat?or.. genc subay, bir baronun e?i ile yasak a?k ya??or ve bu söylentiler dola??or ortada daha sonra bu genc k?z? görüp ona a??k oluor ve kad?ndan ayr?l?or genc subay fakat baron onu mahkemey verior ve mahkeme sonucunda düello yap?lmas? karar? c?k?or, en sonunda düelloda genc subay ölüor, ve bunu k?za sölediklerinde k?z da pencereden atlay?p intihar edior ,böylece film bitior.. bir a?k dram?.. günüe göre gayet iyi filmmi? belli ki ;) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This 1933 Germany language film by Max Ophuls bears touchstones common to his more well known French 50's films, including a fluid, mobile camera, society scandal and mores, and love gained, lost, and made tragic by ill communication and suicide. Hard to find, but available if you dig. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Ophüls masterpiece before exiting Germany, set in the turn-of-the-century Vienna, in which love and "liebelei" are the main recipe. This brilliant introspective work assigns a great relevance on the emotions and inner thoughts of the characters. Scenes consist in close-ups, landscapes speaking that which characters can't put into words, and prolonged shots of the facial expressions of the characters while they are being told something, while we wait for some kind of response from them, like watching someone in the face without blinking. 99/100 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Ein frà 1/4hes Meisterwerk vom groÃen Max Ophà 1/4ls. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Lovely doomed romance from Ophuls, whose sophisticated treatment of the story helps us to believe in the emotions.
