Audience Member A poetic masterpiece.. Rated 4/5 Stars •  Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Often called Jean Rollin's most personal film, Lips of Blood is yet another erotic vampire film with artistic aspirations from a director who goes to the well a little too often. While there are interesting moments that focus on the nature of memory and its connection with trauma and horror, the film as a whole does little to distinguish itself from Rollin's other films or erotic vampire films from the 70s more generally. Slow-moving atmospheric horror drama with lots of sex and nudity (that's the Jean Rollin way), but it drags at times and the ending has little payoff.
