Anton Bitel Little White Lies There is epic action and adventure in this film, to be sure, and some humour too - but it is all directed towards a conclusion whose devastating impact is not even undone by the touches of mawkishness that get us there. Nov 2, 2010 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard A better screenplay, tougher editing and less commercial direction might have made the tale more substantial and even funnier -- as it is, Chan keeps it all going. Rated: 3/5 Oct 6, 2010 Full Review Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) Rated: 3/5 Oct 1, 2010 Full Review Victoria Luxford The National (UAE) Chan puts his heart and soul into the part of Big Soldier, and it's a reminder that there is more to the actor than Hollywood cinemagoers may have witnessed. Rated: 3/5 Aug 30, 2011 Full Review Fred Topel Screen Junkies Amusing but, never amazing. There's no ladder twirling, conveyor belt sticking or cashier slot jumping through. Apr 13, 2011 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy It does not, perhaps, try to do very much, but all the things it does try, it achieves with glowing perfection. Alain M it was pretty ok, but trying to keep the comedy of Jacky Chan while also trying to set in a dramatic depiction of a journey just doesn't seem to work here. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review dragoljub b "Little Big Soldier" is an absolute delight that transcends its genre boundaries. It showcases Jackie Chan's acting prowess beyond his martial arts skills, offering a captivating story that is both heartwarming and action-packed. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic movie. Great acting by Jackie chan ang great location. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is absolutely amazing, one Jackie's best movies I've seen in my opinion, you want drama, comedy, fighting, ... Everything is there, a very good story, at last it sulrely is better than most Bollywood s*** that we see everytime, this movie is unique and highly recommend, I've watched many many jackie films and chinese movies but this is better.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I've been on a Jackie Chan binge recently and must say, this is one of his finest pieces of work. It's a quality production, very well acted, has a great story, has action but isnt a stereotyped kung fu movie by any means. It is a believable drama with believable characters but still has interludes of comedy with out the cheesiness of his earlier work. Chemistry between the 3 main leads is excellent and Chan brings a particular depth to this performance... a bit like he did in Karate Kid. I was especially touched by the boat scene and the very end - OMG. If I had to find a complaint - it would be to question what the female character really brought to the story. Not much, really. Liked this movie so much I went back and bought it after renting it. I'll be watching this story again. Wish Chan and made more like it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
