Aender S An excellent film with a great cast, nice visuals, powerful soundtrack and foremost brilliant pacing. You could reproach it the liberties it took from the source material, but to me this a brilliant feel good film for people of any age. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Liam D it's pretty underrated and a good movie for the whole family if the kids can handle with the French language and subtitles Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/07/22 Full Review Audience Member Some cute and funny moments may imput some value into Little Nicholas, but overall this film will not be more than a silly comedy for anyone over 10. Phelim O'Neill Guardian It presents a gently humorous, beautifully shot idyllic version of childhood, all blue skies, good manners and not a hair out of place. It's a nice place to visit for the duration. Rated: 4/5 Aug 24, 2012 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) Meek French family entertainment, based on a series of children's books by Ren Goscinny, original writer of the Asterix strips. Rated: 2/5 Aug 23, 2012 Full Review Cath Clarke Time Out He's charming and adorable to parents, yes - but you've got to wonder if kids will find this mummy's boy a bit wimpy. Rated: 3/5 Aug 21, 2012 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) A likable, sentimental, occasionally saccharine celebration of middle-class France and its likable children in the late 1950s and early 60s ... Aug 26, 2012 Full Review Allan Hunter Daily Express (UK) A breezy, undemanding adaptation of the bestselling novels that broke box-office records in France in 2009. Rated: 2/5 Aug 23, 2012 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film While eight-year-olds on up with love the scrapes and triumphs that the kids get themselves into, there is also a lot of pleasure to be had from an adult's perspective.
