Phil Hoad Guardian The film finishes as neither arthouse fish or genre-film fowl (more the latter though). Too bad, because it’s performed with conviction on both the satirical and earnest sides of the spectrum, and Ian is a memorable creation. Rated: 3/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Daniel Abelow Film Threat On the whole, Loop Track doesn’t seek to reinvent the wheel, it just tries to be a damned good thriller, and it succeeds in spades. Rated: 8/10 Dec 13, 2023 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee Sainsbury keeps the tension high, with enough brief glimpses and strange coincidences to indicate that something isn't quite right. Rated: B Dec 6, 2023 Full Review Paul Lê Bloody Disgusting ...takes an admirably deliberate approach to a conventional idea, all the while delivering a rewarding conclusion that will validate many folks’ fear of nature. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 4, 2023 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT Loop Track is a smartly written thriller that builds to a great reveal. There are clues along the way that some viewers will pick up on, but it all makes the bonkers final act that much better. Nov 30, 2023 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Sainsbury deserves plenty of plaudits for navigating the story in such a way as to keep the audience entertained, engrossed and guessing as to the eventual outcome right up until the final 20 minutes... Steven t Just another low budget horror movie that has some tense moments but doesn't come together as well as they wanted it too. My problem is the main character is off right away instead of making him more normal at first than get weirder. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Samim A A magnificent film balancing reason and madness, set in the mysterious forests of New Zealand, brought to life by a fresh cast, and above all, a masterful Ian, "on the Edge"… The ending, unfortunately, could have been anything but that. Why not delve deeper into this "edge" instead of giving us yet another "bloody battle for survival"? What a waste of atmosphere, actors, lighting, cinematography, and above all, the original concept. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Joey S Loop Track keeps the tension up from start to finish. The practical effects are well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/24 Full Review Chelsea J This film is exactly what you want in a thriller, an authentic feeling of fear. The roller coaster of emotions was excellent. No extra art fluff or imagery. It’s the real raw deal. Enjoy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/24 Full Review Logan D Director Sainsbury plays Ian, a man with severe anxiety and paranoia. Despite his best efforts, he is unable to avoid other people hiking the same trail he is. Unfortunately, one of them seems highly suspicious and may have murdered others. Holy cow! This film spends about the first 2/3 dealing with Ian's mental health issues and his encounters with others. It's psychological horror during that time and then shifts into something entirely different the last 3rd. If you really find yourself bored and want to quit the film, FF to the last half hour and I don't think you'll regret it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review Aaron D Wasnt great. Wasnt terrible either. Wouldn't say it was good, or fine though. It was a movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
