Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald As we learn more about Dean's family and a tragedy that's helping to colour the picture, the narrative begins to change shape, morphing from unconvincing love story into an ambitious -- if far-fetched -- rumination on loss and longing. Rated: 3/5 Dec 3, 2014 Full Review Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald Product placement in cinema is usually no worse than a nuisance, but Love Is Now takes it to the next level: this lacklustre Australian romance not only looks like a feature-length commercial, but is one. Rated: 1/5 Dec 3, 2014 Full Review Tom Clift Concrete Playground A simple and surprisingly affecting love story set against the stunning summery glow of rural New South Wales. Audience Member This film is beautifully shot, tightly directed, very well acted, very moving and intriguing throughout. Highly recommend! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A different take on the romcom - helped by it's flashbacks & Australian-ness. Not much more Australian than foreigners coming here & picking fruit to get a visa! Lots of great scenery & sunrises, plus a fantastic score from Kram. The two leads are good & it's short and sweet - great piecing together of all the pieces at the end makes a very satisfying conclusion. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A great story, beautifully told. Acting (van der Boom, Farren) is warm, with an evident connection between the characters that makes the narrative 'believable'. Photography is at the heart of this film, and it is not surprising that cinematography is always worthy of an award nomination. I loved the sound track and appreciated the freshness of Production (Schulz) and I enjoyed talking about the Director's (Lounsbury) intent with friends after the movie... I think that is a discussion all who see it will want to have. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
